Me? I'm a travel writer, photographer, and an on-line publisher.
This site is dedicated to extended stay vacations around the world. Visits that allow you to immerse yourself in local customs, cultures and day-to-day life. Ask yourself? Can you really experience all that Paris, London or Hong Kong has to offer in just a week? You can hardly overcome jet lag during that period of time.
Now, as the baby boomer's age, I figured more individuals have the time and resources to experience longer term adventures. Why just 30 days and not longer? Many of us have responsibilities and homes that our family and friends will take care of for only so long.. After a certain point you have to start hiring professionals to deal with your landscaping, bills, taxes, flushing your toilets....yes toilets. Especially in hot climates don't let your toilets or sink drains evaporate dry. It will stink up your house!
I have been wanting to launch this project for several years. I started writing for the web about travel in March of 1995 when I launched the first web based travel magazine. An archive of the site can be found here: TravelASSIST Magazine. At the same time I also launched the webs first lodging directory: The Register.
This 30DaysIn.com site is a business and is financed by your support during the visit rather than after the trip selling travel articles and photos to traditional old media outlets. The site needs your support.
Currently we have decided to not post advertising on the site. We have also decided not to accept "freebies" or considerations from the services or products we use. But without your help I may need to rethink this.If you have any questions or comments please contact me.
